Thoughts from One Blue Horse (Charlene)
David’s and his men lost everything to the enemy – I Samuel 30
1 Now it happened, when David and his men came to Ziklag, on the third day, that the Amalekites had invaded the South and Ziklag, attacked Ziklag and burned it with fire, 2 and had taken captive the women and those who were there, from small to great; they did not kill anyone, but carried them away and went their way…. 6 Now David was greatly distressed, for the people spoke of stoning him, because the soul of all the people was grieved, every man for his sons and his daughters. But David strengthened himself in the Lord his God…. 8 So David inquired of the Lord, saying, “Shall I pursue this troop? Shall I overtake them?” And He answered him, “Pursue, for you shall surely overtake them and without fail recover all.”
As we read those lines we can see that was probably the worst day of David’s life at that point. He was away with his army, doing “business” and left his family and things unguarded and the enemy took them all. Then his people turned against him and wanted to kill him.
At this point we can relate to how he must have felt because if you are like me and so many others in the body you are looking for the reason you are getting whacked so badly by the enemy – it is the 3rd Day. You are waiting on a promise, your family has problems, waiting on a promotion, a new joy, finances, and your ministry … everything is being shaken and on edge and nothing seems to be right or help to make it better.
David lost the trust of his men because all had suffered loss of family, belongings and everything left was burned. David was at a point where they were all ready to kill him. He had come home to a complete disaster yet he went to God on his own to ask for help. He strengthened himself in the Lord his God. He asked God, “what shall I do, shall I pursue … overtake them?” God answered him immediately and told him to “pursue … overtake and without fail you will recover all.”
We are like David. We have been in a 2nd Day doing our lives and God has moved us into a 3rd Day, a new season and we have to make some changes in our lives to be able to align with where God has put us. It is time to stop asking for prayer and advice from others and get on our knees before God and ask Him what HE wants us to do. We need to realize who we are in God. Think about who we are aligned with and what our assignment with God is and allow Him to clean up wrong heart beliefs, old mindsets, doubt and unbelief.
The following is from a prophetic word by Emily-Rose Lewis (see all on my Facebook) God is asking … “Do you believe in My redemptive power, My power to replace that which has been lost or stolen, My power to restore those things that have been destroyed? This month is a month of divine replacement. I will replace the old with the new. The dead with the living. What is lacking with overflow. Sorrow for joy. And garments of praise for your former shame. Divine replacement will take place through My Spirit and My Word.”
“Respond to this revelation of restoration, redemption, and replacement by faith. Release the dead, the old, the empty, the broken, the loss or lost, the shame, the burden, or the lack with confident anticipation of the divine replacement that I am pouring out over My people in May. Respond with release. Respond by faith. Respond in rest. Begin to praise Me for the victory that has already been won.”
Renew Your Confidence in the Goodness of God
Allow your confidence to rise beyond your former understanding of the goodness of God. Hope has deferred because of prayers that seemed to go unanswered and have challenged your faith. There is a shift happening, even this month, from waiting on God to respond to you, to an understanding that God is waiting on you to respond to His Word and His love. I am seeing long held beliefs about the Lord being shifted in the depths of your consciousness to better align with the truth of God’s heart toward you.
A revelation into the accusations that have been leveled against God’s character by your unbelief will bring repentance, restoration of relationship, and divine alignment with the purposes of God in your life. Those who are determined to trust in and rely on, not their own understanding, but the Lord of Heaven and earth, are going to be receiving an outpouring of His glory and grace.
Renounce all doubt and wavering. Draw near to God and resist the whispers of the enemy reminding you of your past experiences. Do not look through a faulty lens that is darkened by your refusal to trust in God’s grace and promise to bring good out of all things for those who love Him and are called according to His purpose. 2 Chronicles 7:14 “if My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land.”
When we have doubt and unbelief it is wicked to God because it is saying we don’t believe Him and we feel we can do better. And when He says if we turn from wrong thinking He will forgive us and heal our land (our lives and our future). God is saying if we pursue Him and His ways He will make sure we get everything we have lost and more back.
“David recovered all. 20 Then David took all the flocks and herds they had driven before those other livestock, and said, “This is David’s spoil.”
So he got all that was taken and even more from the enemy.
