Confirmation Conversation

kairos time

We had left Louisiana early, due to impending weather. My husband, Darryl, didn’t want to get stuck there with potential flooding, even though we were enjoying fellowship with the Apostles of the house. We left around 1:30 PM, headed back to Houston. We drove straight through, but there were some traffic slowdowns because of weather, even though we left early.

We stopped at a grocery store on our way home to get something for dinner. Darryl was pretty insistent that we go to a particular grocery store, and not the other one across the street. I didn’t care. I just wanted to go home, eat and go to bed.

We had just gone down the potato chip aisle, and were on our way to the cash register. This man, whose face I recognized but couldn’t remember from where, was smiling at us. He had on a company shirt – from our propane company. Suddenly, I realized who he was: the propane delivery truck driver for whom I had prayed months before. At that time, his knee was really bad. He was in a lot of pain and didn’t have the money for surgery. I prayed for both of his knees and Jesus healed him. That was why I recognized him.

I said to him, “We prayed for you at our house.” I could tell he instantly recognized us – I saw it come over his face. He walked over, and in a conspiratorial tone, looking around, he said he wasn’t the same man that he was months earlier. He said that he had a new friend; he called him Jesus.

As he talked, I recognized that a bonafide encounter had occurred with this man. He had been with Jesus! The more he talked, the more I realized that the Lord had directed our paths to cross at THAT grocery store at that very moment! Had we gone to the other store, we would have missed him. Had we left our friends’ church any later, or earlier, we would have missed this divine intersection in time – a KAIROS moment! Even at that, the Lord had to control the weather and the traffic flow for over five-hours so that we could meet this man and have this absolutely incredible “Confirmation Conversation”!

As we stood in the grocery aisle with people passing by, this man repeated things that Jesus had told him in these encounters, things that Darryl and I had discussed in the car on our trip home that day! He also told us things that Jesus talked to him about that we had just experienced within the last two days. The most incredible part of the “Confirmation Conversation” was he directly addressed my newest assignment from the Lord – learning how to communicate through the spirit, without words, and teaching others to do the same. As soon as I realized that what he was saying was straight from the throne room, I was hanging on his every word!

He told us that he saw Jesus every time his eyes were closed – Jesus came to him every night in his sleep.

“In a dream, a vision of the night, When sound sleep falls on men, While they slumber in their beds, Then He opens the ears of men, And seals their instruction…” (Job 33:15-16).

He said that in these encounters, Jesus communicated to him in thought, without moving his lips.

“When Jesus perceived their thoughts, he answered them…” (Luke 5:22)

Jesus said that this silent communication was done through LOVE, and there is incredible power in LOVE. He told us that words are not necessary! As soon as we THINK a thought, it is manifested in the heavenly realm. That is why it is so important to guard our thoughts! We must use our hands to pull it down into this atmosphere.

He said that Jesus really does refer to God as “The Father”. Jesus said to him, “God said it is very important to pray to Him and ask Him to relieve you of any thought that is contrary to unconditional love.”

“Anyone who does not love (agape) does not know God, because God is love (agape)” (1 John 4:8).

He said that Jesus used a mustard seed as a tool, a metaphor, because there is no way to measure faith (see Matthew 17:20). He said people totally misunderstood that metaphor, but that was the smallest thing that He could use! It was an ancient society, and Jesus couldn’t talk to them about microscopes, and scientific things at the cellular level, because they hadn’t seen them yet. He used the tiniest possible thing they could understand. He is showing us these things now because we have a much greater understanding.

There was so much more, but our time at the grocery store was up. We invited this man to our home to share with us everything that Jesus said to him. I long to hear the words of our Lord, knowing that they are given to me to confirm the intimate conversations that I personally have had with Him.

I believe the Lord is taking all of us to a new place, allowing us to explore other dimensions that He has created. There is a reason that He is speaking to us about communicating without words, by the Spirit and through the Spirit. There is also a reason why He is introducing us to these concepts at this moment in time. I am open to finding out ALL that The Father has for me! How about you?

Your Jericho Is Falling!

A Word by Dana Jarvis

What kind of walled city are you facing right now? Does it appear to be unconquerable? Does it look too high and appear too thick? Does it seem that victory is absolutely impossible in your case?  Let me remind you that if your walls haven’t already fallen flat, they can! They can fall right now!   Let’s handle your Jericho God’s way!

Israel had finally crossed the Jordan. They had prepared themselves spiritually and were following God’s orders to the letter. They are ready to claim the land that was theirs, however it wouldn’t come cheap. It was at Jericho they would begin to flex their spiritual muscles and conquer. They had come upon massive walls of Jericho that made their victory stop right in their tracks. However, our God is greater than the massive walls of Jericho and his people would be unstoppable!

Israel Had A Problem:

Here they stood with extremely large walls and a city to conquer. They must have thought they had reached a dead-end, but that gave the Lord the opportunity to show up and show off!  God wanted them to see this Jericho victory was all Him!  Are you facing obstacles much like this Jericho wall that is hindering you from that deeper relationship with God? It could be family trouble tearing at your heart, financial difficulties that stresses you to the limit of your patience and faith, or you have just become weary in your journey.  You must come to realize that through this the power of God is being revealed in and through you.  He is more clearly visible when we put ourselves out of the equation and realize your battle is the Lord’s and victory will come.

Israel Had A Promise:

Joshua and all the men of war stood looking at these walls ready to take what was theirs. They believed the Lord, they took him at his Word, and trusted him for the victory that lay ahead. They had his promise and these walls would not stop them for God was on their side. As you face your obstacles, remember you have the Lord’s promises as banners to march under.

  • His promise that your weapons are powerful through God.
  • His promise that our battles have all been arranged by the Lord.
  • His promise that our ability is limited only by our Faith.
  • His promise of power in the day of battle.
  • His promise of ongoing victory.
  • His promise that we will never fight alone.
  • His promise that when the battles are ended, we will celebrate the Victory in his Presence.

Jesus did not save you for you to be defeated! He saved you for the victory and he will be with you all the way to help you secure it for his glory!

Israel Had A Partner:

Israel’s partner was none other than God himself! He was in absolute control of this battle and guaranteed their victory! He did not come to take sides with them, but he came to take over!   These Jericho’s that stand in your life right now, you do not have to face them alone. No obstacle is insurmountable as long as you face it in the Lord! He has given you the weapons to fight. He has given you the Word of God which is infallible! It is your sword and you need to find your way around your armory to choose the right sword for the battle you are in! He gave you the power of prayer! Prayer is more than just a grocery list that you take and read off to him. You are entering a conversation with the God of the universe. You speak to him and he speaks to you! You can pour your heart out before him and he will share his heart with you.  Prayer has the ability to get things done!

Israel Prevailed:

After Israel marched around these walls as instructed by God to do. It was then on that seventh day and that seventh lap around, the priests gave a loud blast on the trumpets and the people shouted with a great shout! That wall fell down flat and the victory was theirs just as God had promised. Their shout was not one of defeat or even the shout of an attacking army, it was a shout raised in praise to their God who was faithful! Whatever situation you are in, God has promised you the victory! This wall before you must come down in the name of the Lord! Bring that need to Jesus right now!  You are his and you will prevail! He is greater than any obstacle, able to move that mountain, and to give you complete and total victory. God is still leveling Jericho’s, so let him bring down the walls in your life that you be hindered no more.

You have a PROBLEM, you have the PROMISES, and you will PREVAIL!

God Gave Us Armor For Warfare

God Gave Us Armor For Warfare

If you have followed me for a while you might notice I don’t get into politics too much.  I try to post words from God in prophecies and scriptures showing His salvation, help and love; teachings to encourage prayer, healing and a closer walk with God.

But to have balance in our lives we have to know that in the Bible, Christianity is compared to warfare. To keep aware of that side, I do follow news from Christian sources on what the enemy is doing in the world and what his plan is. I also want to see what God is doing as He begins to move with greater visibility in His Kingdom. There has always been war in the spirit realm since the Garden and we must have a part in it so we need to be aware that the enemy is real and roaming about like a roaring lion. We need to know what God expects from us and why things seem to be changing in ways we have never seen before. Also most of us have been under stronger attack than ever in our lives and there seems no let up.

We cannot just relax back and think we have no part in the conflict. There are so many scriptures alluding to fighting so we can’t miss the implications that we are involved in warfare until the day we die! We need to stay current on news which includes politics. Current but not overwhelmed or allowing it to cause fear or worry; just enough for wisdom to pray.

Every soldier will study the enemy to determine strengths and weaknesses. And to be able to defeat the enemy, he must know how to use the weapons at his disposal. Those weapons are described to us in Ephesians 6:10-18 – The Whole Armor of God. If God has given us all a set of armor then we must be expected to fight a battle.

Many believers have been given the mistaken notion that salvation marks the end of serious temptation and trouble. That is how I was taught and believed it for many years. But we read in 1 Timothy 6:12, “Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, to which you were also called and have confessed the good confession in the presence of many witnesses.”

Matthew 11:12 “And from the days of John the Baptist until now the kingdom of heaven suffers violence, and the violent take it by force.”

Most of us are not in a physical army fighting with physical weapons of war. Nor do we fight against a physical foe. As the Church of the living God, we are a spiritual army. And we are engaged in spiritual warfare! Paul admonished the Corinthians of this very fact, telling them, “For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war according to the flesh. For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds” (II Cor. 10:3-4).

So just who are we fighting? God’s Word teaches that we all have the same enemies. These are Self, Society (the world) and Satan. To me I think the three enemies are all one – the devil. He influences self by telling us lies continually and we must be aware of that and keep him out of our minds with our armor. He influences society with the same lies and spirits; greed, anger, poverty, orphan, entitlement, lust and all the variations from his hatred of God and His people. We are responsible for our soul but the devil is still the one who started it all in the Garden with lies and temptation.

God did not leave us alone on the battle field but has given us all we need to gain victory over them in His Word. To fight we must put on the full armor provided by God — truth, righteousness, peace; faith, salvation, word of God; and praying ALWAYS being watchful to this end with all perseverance.” Ephesians 6:14-18

Praying, being watchful and persevering and when we have done all that we stand, hold our position and never give up on God doing what He has promised. Trust in God with no doubt or unbelief and wait with patience for His answers.

James 4:7 says, “Resist the devil and he will flee from you.” We must take a determined stand against him.

We also have a clear explanation in Revelation for how we win this battle, Revelation 12:11  “And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony, and they did not love their lives to the death.”

We all have a way to fight our battle and it comes down to praying, developing a relationship with God through the Holy Spirit, listening to His directions, prophetic words, dreams, writing blogs & books to help others, getting involved in social media to send the gospel around the world. Networking with like minded people and helping each other to do God’s work.

I said all that to say this – I will be adding some news reports to my posts as I feel it is God’s intent that we be aware of what is happening beyond our church and home.  If you want to know more read them and if not skip them with no problem. I’m just trying to keep balance to all I have here so that each can pick what God directs them to! Enjoy and be blessed in all you do my friends.

Blessings to you all in Christ ~ One Blue Horse

An Increase of Wisdom and Revelation: God is Releasing Keys!

Angie Stolba, Washington, IL

Wisdom’s Call

Recently, while spending time with the Lord, I have felt led to study the book of Proverbs and seek the Lord’s instruction and leading in regards to this new season that the Body of Christ is entering into. I believe that God is, even now, releasing wisdom and revelation from on high to equip us for all that is ahead. He is enabling us to walk into the new that’s about ready to be opened up for the Bride! (see Proverbs 8:1-11.)

It is so easy to remain comfortable with our familiar, man-made traditions – simply doing the things the way that we have always done them. However, I hear the Lord saying, “Come up higher; I have things to show you!” The Lord urges us to call unto Him and He will answer us and tell us great and unsearchable things we do not know (see Jeremiah 33:3).

I believe that in this season, the Lord is beckoning us to come out of our comfort zones. He is calling us to step out into the new and uncharted waters with Him – to go the places where we have not previously navigated. Be assured, where our Father calls us is the safest place to be. He will not leave us alone as we follow His guiding.

As we continue to hunger and thirst for righteousness, we will be filled. As we ask for wisdom, the Lord will grant it to us. Watch, as He gives us a fresh revelation and the keys that we need to help usher in all that He has prepared for His people.

Our key to being successful and to navigate the new territory that the Lord is giving us will be to simply hear and obey His voice. The wisdom of man and human logic will fail us. God is calling us to come up to a higher place with Him and to move out in radical faith and obedience in this season. We need to apply the wisdom He is giving us to our daily lives – one word from the Lord can truly change everything.

Launching Out Into the Deep

I love the story of Simon Peter and the great harvest he received because of his obedience to the Lord, as it’s told in Luke 5:1-12.

Simon’s response was the key to his breakthrough! Because he obeyed the Lord’s instructions, he was launched out into the deep and reaped a harvest so great, the nets he had cast began to break. Had Simon relied on his human logic or reasoning, he would have missed out on the amazing blessing that God had in store for him.

I know firsthand that it is easy to get weary and to say to the Lord, “I’ve tried that before, God, and it hasn’t worked!” However, I believe that the Father is asking us in this season, “Will you trust Me? Will you be willing to launch out into the deep at My command, even if it hasn’t seemed to work in the past?” When we respond like Simon did, saying, “Because You say so, Lord, I will,” we too will reap an amazing harvest so large that our own “nets” will barely be able to contain the blessing!

Abide in the Secret Place

The Lord has continually been highlighting to me the importance of intimacy with Him and remaining in the secret place. I believe that it is in this place, as we are abiding in the Lord, that He is going to release His Kingdom strategies to us. In the secret place, God will begin to impart to us the needed wisdom and answers we have been praying for in regards to situations in our own lives and for the loved ones that we have been contending for.

The Lord is stirring the waters, and we are going to see movement and breakthrough in areas that have previously seemed dead. The Life-Giver is breathing on the dry bones! Begin to prophesy to those barren places in your life, and watch with expectancy at what the Lord is going to do.

Again He said to me, “Prophesy over these bones and say to them, ‘O dry bones, hear the word of the Lord.’ Thus says the Lord God to these bones, ‘Behold, I will cause breath to enter you that you may come to life.'” (Ezekiel 37:4-5)

The Lord is Releasing Fresh Revelation and Keys

“Then I will set the key of the house of David on His shoulder, When He opens no one will shut, when He shuts no one will open.” (Isaiah 22:22)

Do not be discouraged if you seem to be in a dry season for it is during this time that the Lord invites you to go even deeper with Him. Determine in your heart to press into Him even more. As you do this, the Lord is going to give you keys to open up that which has previously been locked up and shut.

When I was going through a dry season of intense, personal warfare, the Lord released a “key” to me that helped usher me out of my place of barrenness. As I was pressing into Him, the Father said so sweetly to me, “Buy some flags and begin to worship Me with dance. As you do this, the heaviness you are feeling will break off, and you will be brought to a higher place with Me — lifted above the storms and the warfare.”

Now, I am not a dancer in the natural. In fact, I’m very uncoordinated. However, I heard the Lord, and I obeyed! I know that His instruction was a key for my own breakthrough. I recognized the voice of the Lord and I knew that my blessing would come through obeying Him. If I would have tried to rationalize things, I could have missed what God had in store for me.

I have been so blessed by dancing with flags—it has ushered me into breakthrough from a previously dry place. Dancing has been a key that the Lord has given me to use as a mighty weapon of warfare against the enemy. I want to encourage you to continue seeking the Lord, and He will be faithful to show you keys in your own life, as well.

I sense that the Lord is going to release His keys for troubled relationships that many in the Body of Christ have been contending for, as they have been asking the Lord to bring healing and restoration. I hear the Father saying, “It is not by might, nor by power, but by My Spirit” (see Zechariah 4:6). By His Spirit alone, the Lord is going to release key strategies to help usher in breakthrough for troubled and broken relationships.

I believe that in this season, the Lord is beckoning us to come out of our comfort zones.

In James 1:19, we are told to be slow to speak and slow to become angry. I believe that this Scripture is a very specific key that can be applied to our lives. As we are quick to listen and not spout off a hasty reply, the Lord Himself will show us what to do and say in any given situation. By continually abiding in the Lord, we will hear His voice and know how to respond. In any given moment or circumstance, we must be led by the Spirit.

I believe that the Lord is also going to release revelation and specific keys to free many from the bondage of debt. Again, this will come from hearing and obeying the voice of the Father, even if it does not make sense in the natural. God reminds us of this in His Word, as it is written, “‘My thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways My ways,’ declares the Lord. ‘As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are My ways higher than your ways and My thoughts than your thoughts'” (Isaiah 55:8-9).

The Lord is honoring faith and obedience. Be willing to go where the Lord says to go, and sow where He is leading you to sow. In Ecclesiastes 11:1, we are told to, “Ship [our] grain across the sea; after many days [we] may receive a return.”

Many in the Body are about to come into an amazing financial harvest. Isaiah 45:3 says, “I will give you hidden treasures, riches stored in secret places, so that you may know that I am the Lord, the God of Israel, who summons you by name.” Praise the Lord for what He is about to do!

Divine Kingdom Connections

God is aligning people with other like-minded ones to help them fulfill their calling and life destiny. Follow His promptings and the nudging of the Holy Spirit regarding your relationships and who you align yourself with in this season.

There is a divine synergy taking place right now. The Lord is bringing the right people into your life to help partner with you so that the Heaven-sent dreams and visions inside of you may be released. What an exciting time this is!

There is rapid movement taking place behind the scenes and in the spirit realm. Do not despair if things seem to be dry on the surface, for the Lord is going to cause streams to flow into those barren places, and He will release rivers in the desert.

As we continue to hunger and thirst for righteousness, we will be filled. As we ask for wisdom, the Lord will grant it to us. Watch, as He gives us a fresh revelation and the keys that we need to help usher in all that He has prepared for His people.

Be encouraged, where you have previously seen heartache, you are now going to see one amazing breakthrough after the other.

“‘Yes indeed, it won’t be long now.’ God’s Decree.

‘Things are going to happen so fast your head will swim, one thing fast on the heels of the other. You won’t be able to keep up. Everything will be happening at once—and everywhere you look, blessings! Blessings like wine pouring off the mountains and hills. I’ll make everything right again for My people Israel:

‘They’ll rebuild their ruined cities.
They’ll plant vineyards and drink good wine.
They’ll work their gardens and eat fresh vegetables.
And I’ll plant them, plant them on their own land.
They’ll never again be uprooted from the land I’ve given them.’
God, your God, says so.” (Amos 9:13-15, The MSG)

Generational Giant Slayers

Generational Giant Slayers: The Caleb Anointing And A Davidic Generation

A Word by Dawn Hill

When you think about slaying giants, who is the first person that comes to your mind? Chances are, David has been placed on your giant slaying pedestal. His encounter with Goliath is famous, and it stirs our hearts to read about a young boy taking down this Philistine bully with a slingshot and the anointing of God.

When we read this story, we see that God can anoint the unlikeliest of people to silence the enemy. However, another giant slayer, Caleb, paved the way for David hundreds of years before, and this same anointing is important for us today as a new generation of spiritual giant slayers is birthed from those who have pioneered the way for slaying the adversary. This message is vital for ministry as well as our personal lives.

The Caleb anointing

Caleb was a giant slayer in his spirit before he physically conquered any giants. In Numbers 13, we read the account of the twelve spies scouting out the Promised Land for forty days. Moses gave them instruction to search out the land in verses 18-20 saying,

“Go…and see what the land is, and whether the people who dwell in it are strong or weak, whether they are few or many, and whether the land that they dwell in is good or bad, and whether the cities that they dwell are camps or strongholds, and whether the land is rich or poor, and whether there are trees in it or not. Be of good courage and bring some of the fruit of the land.”

These men were sent to gather information. They were not given jurisdiction to determine victory. God had already promised His people victory several times, indicating that He was giving them this land. Moses told these men to be of good courage and to return with fruit from the land.

Sometimes, God is telling us to go forth into areas ordained for us to go. He goes before us to make a way, and we have a choice to make in that pivotal moment. We have to decide if we are going to partner with God and be of good courage, or if we are going to partner with our flesh and the voice of the enemy.

Anointing, glory and everlasting fruitfulness

The twelve spies were sent to confirm a good report of the Lord. They captured a vision of the land and they brought back provision from the land. The grapes were substantial with a single cluster transported on a pole between two of the spies. They also returned with pomegranates and figs.

Each of these fruit holds a distinct meaning. Grapes represent the anointing. Pomegranates represent glory, majesty and righteousness, and figs represent everlasting fruitfulness. These men not only saw the land promised by the Lord, but they returned to their people with the anointing, the glory, and everlasting fruitfulness. Yet a fraction of them received the promise. The majority could not get past the giants and their own perception as grasshoppers. Their rebellion cost a generation the promise.

The majority saw themselves as grasshoppers, but one man initiated the dream of being a giant slayer. Our perception will determine our level of victory, and it can affect generations following us.  The vision goes beyond us, and if it does not then we have not adopted God’s dream and God’s vision.

Perception will deceive you into believing you have lost when you are already promised victory. We have His anointing and His glory, and we are to bear everlasting fruitfulness when we abide in the Vine that is Christ. We are to pioneer the way for our children and those we spiritually parent to slay the giants and to take the land for God.

A different kind of spirit

Caleb refused to bow to fear and intimidation. He believed God’s promise of the Promised Land. God said of Caleb,

“because he has a different spirit and has followed me fully, I will bring him into the land into which he went, and his descendants shall possess it.”

Caleb had a different spirit about him. He believed the giants were bread for his people and that their protection had ceased. He belonged to the tribe of Judah, the same tribe associated with King David. He pioneered the way for a young giant slayer to rise up hundreds of years later to take a giant’s head from his shoulders.

Saints, we are called to have a different spirit about us, the Holy Spirit. We were not created by a God with a grasshopper complex. When you see through the eyes of fire, your perspective changes, and you begin to see that God is using you to steward a lineage of giant slayers and history makers.

We need to call this next generation forth as God sees them and not how we perceive them or what the world says about them. Mature leaders and wise parents will desire for the next generation to grab the torch, take up the mantle, and run with the vision. They will cheer them on to go further into the land that they did not have time to conquer. Giant slayers will always produce giant slayers because they answer the call of God to only believe.

I encourage you today to be giant slayers in the spirit and to mentor a generation. We need those with that Caleb anointing to walk in unwavering faith and demonstration of the Word of God for a David generation. Nay sayers sow nothing but discord and death, but giant slayers make history with God.  Let’s band together and make history with God.

It’s Time to Get on God’s Frequency

by John Belt, Cincinnati, OH

“For I am the Lord, I do not change.” (Malachi 3:6)

God has called us to a place of peace in His presence. That peace is a witness to us that we are in tune with Him, feel connected and things are in the flow. If we don’t feel that flow there is something out of sync and it is our responsibility to get that back in rhythm. God has a frequency. The Lord does not change. That means His frequency never changes.

There has to be something in our lives that we can depend on and know will be consistent – that would be God Himself. He is the one person we can depend on and know that He will not change, shift or fall into a different frequency. Because of this we know that He is not the one needing to make an adjustment. That would be us. We are the ones who have the capability of falling out of sync, not Him. He does not change.

We are subject to change. We actually need to change, moving in His direction. For this to happen we have to start by getting on “His frequency”. This is the first basic step that we must take to make progress. If we miss this step, we miss everything. Then the question is: “How do we get on God’s frequency?” The Word of God is the tuning fork that gets us “in tune” with God. The Word of God is also like the bread as Jesus Himself is the Bread of Life. But there is another aspect as well that is needed. For we have learned that mechanics alone will not put us on the same page with the Lord. We need open hearts to the Holy Spirit.

“Ho! Everyone who thirsts, come to the waters.” (Isaiah 55:1)

The Water of the Holy Spirit

The Holy Spirit is like the water. As we all know, we must have water to wash down the things that we eat. There is eating and there is drinking. You cannot have one without the other. Sometimes I will go to eat dinner and forget my glass of water. I can only go so long before I need to get up and go get the water. It is the same spiritually speaking. We need the bread of God’s Word and the water of His Holy Spirit to get us in the flow of His presence. The Word of God represents the person of God just as the Spirit represents the person of God. Jesus was the Word made flesh, the Bread of Life. The Holy Spirit is the manifested presence of God, the Spirit of glory.

As we seek to be in tune with the Lord, to be on His frequency, the Word and the Spirit are necessary to bring us to that place. That being said, there is one more element that we need to come to grips with to make this picture complete. Our bodies are the temple of the Holy Spirit.

“What? Do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God, and that you are not your own? You were bought with a price. Therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s.” (1 Corinthians 6:19-20)

Entering Into His Presence Through Honoring Our Bodies

The physical body can be a make or break when it comes to our tuning with the Lord. I can only speak personally on this but I know that if there is sickness, physical difficulty or bodily weakness, it makes it that much more difficult to experience the reality of God’s presence.

If we are honest, most of the physical problems we encounter, many but obviously not all, are connected to how we treat or have treated our bodies. In respect to foods, back in the time of Abraham it was pretty much meat, fruit, vegetables, herbs and whole grains. As you know, we have a lot more options on the processed food spectrum, chemical infested foods and fast food. With this we have to be transparent enough to admit that we need to change our bad habits in what we eat.

This is important because when our body is in bad condition it does not help us, but can hinder us in regards to connecting with God. Our stomach cannot be our god (see Philippians. 3:19). Everything that we do, engage in and agree with is a spiritual act. We reap the consequences of our own decisions whether they be good or bad. This has a domino effect in ability to connect with God. All the same we need to remember that God is not hard, but just wants the best for our lives. God’s plan for us is to be filled with His light and that His fire would burn in our hearts continually.

Get Your Spiritual Engine Running

“A fire shall be kept burning upon the altar continually; it shall not go out.” (Leviticus 6:13)

God is determined to get our spiritual engines running. He wants us ignited with the fire of prayer where it is burning day and night, night and day. A non-stop bonfire of glory and power being released through His people to impact all that surrounds us. The picture is bright burning lamps that are ignited throughout all the earth pushing back darkness. That is the crux of prayer and its purpose.

When the light shines, the darkness cannot stay. In your mind’s eye, see the earth from God’s view. See the globe covered in darkness, then see the multiplied individual lights of His people spread throughout the earth, repelling the darkness as the world is then filled with the light of Jesus. Let that fire burn, let the Holy Spirit in and be that light of God in the earth shining with the glory of His Presence.

Praying with Watchmen’s Eyes: The Power of Prophetic Intercession

James W. Goll, Franklin, TN

Prophetic intercession is near and dear to my heart. I love the way God nudges me to pray about something so that He can intervene. I have seen so many amazing answers to prophetic prayer! Such prayers strike the mark much more often than those I invent out of my own limited heart and mind.

Here is how I usually describe prophetic intercession: Prophetic intercession is waiting before God in order to hear or receive His burden (a word, a concern, a warning, a condition, a vision or a promise), and responding back to Him with prayerful petition, sometimes with corresponding actions.

When we hear something, we do something—write it down, pray from it, sound an alarm—whatever is appropriate.”

In the Old Testament, the priests pleaded the needs of the people before the Lord while the prophets pleaded the interests of God before the people. The two roles are combined in what we call “prophetic intercession”—a watchman-intercessor prays back to God an inspiration regarding a human concern that comes from God’s own heart.

“But if they are prophets, and if the word of the Lord is with them, let them now make intercession to the Lord of hosts.” Jeremiah 27:18, NKJV

Abraham, Anna and Daniel were all prophetic intercessors. As prophets, they tapped into God’s very heart when they apprehended His promises, which God expressed directly to them or showed them in the words of other prophets. Recognizing that they had a role to play in bringing those divine promises into being, they began to watch and pray. The verse quoted above gives a glimpse into what I am trying to describe: Prophetic intercession paves the way for the fulfillment of prophetic promises.

Power Up the Prophetic Promises

God has made and continues to make promises. I believe that every promise finds its fulfillment only when the Holy Spirit pleads it before the heavenly throne through one of God’s chosen intercessors. The promises may be historical covenant promises that God has made to His people, truths that have been preached, “prayer burdens,” or spontaneous, Spirit-inspired utterances. What makes them prophetic is that they reveal something that was hidden in the heart of God until it was expressed.

On behalf of someone else, the intercessor takes up a case of justice before a sovereign and entirely righteous God. God is looking for the man or woman who will take up the plea, and He can hardly believe it when no one volunteers to stand in the gap.

Prayer Insights from God’s Heart

Prophetic intercession can also mean the senses or urgings that come from the Holy Spirit that regard people or circumstances about which the intercessor knows little or nothing. God taps the watchman on the shoulder and imparts a compelling awareness that it is time to pray for a very particular need: “Here…Pray for this thing right now!” He supplies just enough information to allow the intercessor to pray effectively about a matter, large or small, in a divinely anointed manner.

Often we call this “receiving a prayer burden,” and it can mean much more than having a vague (easy-to-ignore) sense of a need. If we cultivate our ability to hear the Holy Spirit (more on that in a moment), we can receive circumstantial details, specific wording for our prayers, a sense of timing and a gift of faith.

When Daniel took time to re-read the prophetic words of Jeremiah, suddenly he was convinced that they applied to the immediate future (see Daniel 9:2). The words he read were as follows:

“This is what the Lord says: ‘When seventy years are completed for Babylon, I will come to you and fulfill my good promise to bring you back to this place.'” Jeremiah 29:10, NIV

Daniel immediately began to pray for the fulfillment of the promise that the prophet had delivered to the previous generation. His own prophetic senses alerted him to the imminent need expressed by the earlier prophetic promise.

Must we pray at length as Daniel did, with extreme fasting and weakness? Not unless that is what is called for. For the most part, we can cultivate our spiritual hearing in simple, practical ways.

God taps the watchman on the shoulder and imparts a compelling awareness that it is time to pray for a very particular need: “Here…Pray for this thing right now!”

First, we stand at our appointed posts as watchmen, ready for anything. We get away from external distractions, as Jesus did when he withdrew before dawn to isolated locations (see Mark 1:35). Quieting our internal noise, we watch to see what God may want to say: “Be still and know that I am God” (Psalm 46:10, KJV). When we hear something, we do something—write it down, pray from it, sound an alarm—whatever is appropriate. That is what the prophet Habakkuk did:

“I will climb up to my watchtower and stand at my guardpost. There I will wait to see what the Lord says and how He will answer my complaint. Then the Lord said to me, ‘Write My answer plainly on tablets, so that a runner can carry the correct message to others. This vision is for a future time. It describes the end, and it will be fulfilled. If it seems slow in coming, wait patiently, for it will surely take place. It will not be delayed.'” Habakkuk 2:1-3

You may find, as I do, that it is also easier to hear God’s voice when you are performing automatic, mindless tasks such as driving the car, showering, exercising, washing the dishes or cleaning the house, especially if you are quietly praising God at the same time. He is more eager to speak to you than you are to hear from Him.

Praying with Watchmen’s Eyes in Our Generation

My friend Cindy Jacobs travels the world ministering as a prophetess and a prophetic intercessor. Early on, the Lord called her with this word from the Bible: “Ask of Me, and I will give You the nations for Your inheritance, and the ends of the earth for Your possession” (Psalm 2:8, NKJV) and she has endeavored to live it out. She is an absolute Globe Trotter and has probably ministered to more governmental leaders than any person I know.

She and her husband Mike co-founded a ministry called Generals International, which provides a platform from which they can launch prayer journeys, practical Biblical teaching, and more. She has written many books, including Hearing the Voice of God and Possessing the Gates of the Enemy, from which I want to share an excerpt about how you can develop what she calls a “watchman’s eye.” Here are several things you can do to develop a watchman’s eye:

  1. Sign up for the army! Tell the Lord that you are willing to be a watchman.
  2. Keep your heart pure so that you can properly discern areas for which God wants you to pray.
  3. Develop a God-consciousness in your life. Be aware at every moment that you are on call. Being a watchman is very much like being a doctor who carries a beeper. At any given moment he or she may be called up for an emergency. No matter what you are doing, God may call you to change your plans, pray and sound the alarm to stop the enemy’s attack.
  4. Pray that God will teach you the proper time and place to sound the alarm. God reveals to intercessors the intimate needs of those for whom we intercede. This is a precious trust. The things God shares with us are not to be told to others. Many prayer groups are nothing more than spiritual gossip sessions.
  5. Do not be afraid to pray prayers that may seem unusual to you! You may be praying, for instance, and all of a sudden you start praying for a pastor in South America whom you do not even know. Many watchmen have averted disasters that threaten people they have never met.

There is great diversity in the Body of Christ, in the pastoral, evangelistic, prophetic ministry and in the global prayer movement also. I for one want to pray with the eyes of a watchman! This prayer grace is not for an elite few—it is offered to those who hunger to take their place on the Walls of Intercession in their generation. You too can be empowered by the Holy Spirit to Pray with Watchmen’s Eyes.

Lord, with You on my side, I can face any enemy. I trust You completely with my life because You are the highest, strongest, wisest, most trustworthy—and You love me in spite of my weaknesses. I am eternally grateful to enjoy right standing with You, completely free from condemnation or accusation. Because You sent Your own Son to earth, I can come into Your presence. He now sits at Your right hand where He always has Your ear, and I can come close, too. You have enlarged my heart so that I can intercede before You on behalf of others. I now ask You for insights and grace so I too can prayer effectively with Watchmen’s Eyes. Yours forever, in Jesus’ name, Amen.

Obedience: A Powerful Strength

The word obedience can carry strong connotations. The Bible has much to say on the topic. Unfortunately, in our human minds we can get caught up with thoughts of legalism and rules, making us feel burdened. However, this is far from what God says about being obedient.

As Believers, we show that we love Christ by obeying Him…

“If you love Me, keep My commandments.”—John 14:15

It is paramount to remember that while we are called to obey God, that our obedience must continually flow out of our love for Him. We must understand our place and His authority, loving Him because we understand just how much He loves us. Because of this great relationship we desire to obey Him, knowing that He has perfect plans for us.

We are not called to obey a list of rules, but to love the LORD with all of our heart, soul and mind. When this supernatural exchange happens, the Spirit equips us to follow God’s desire out of love, allowing us to follow and obey His will.

The gift of obedience is powerful and comes with a promise.

“But if you indeed obey His voice and do all that I speak, then I will be an enemy to your enemies and an adversary to your adversaries.”—Exodus 22:23

When you are walking in God’s will through obedience, He fights for you! Take heart today as you follow God’s lead in obedience knowing great rewards are waiting. God desires to be our protector and to enable us with His great armor. He asks us to obey and trust Him. We cannot obey if we do not trust that what He has in store for us is a mighty blessing.

God is the only one who knows our hearts. He sees through any mask we use as a shiny veneer to cover a sinful heart. If you are obedient, rejoice in this Godly Strength! Ask God to continue to renew your heart and expose any sin that might inhibit your obedience in the future. He loves His children and wants to teach and discipline us. Trust that a great reward is on the other side.

Ask God to give you His vision of obedience. Seek the Holy Spirit in all things, thanking Him for His adornment of a new heart of obedience. With your obedience, others will see Christ’s love and mercy, furthering God’s Kingdom!

Our prayer team is standing by at 888-932-7850, ready to encourage you through prayer. Ask God now to enable you with obedience, through His strength so that He gets all of the glory! Trust that you will be blessed! Curt Landry

“The Light of Christ is Burning Within You – You Shine!”

by Darren Canning, Ontario, Canada

Psalm 119:105 says, “Your Word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path.”

John 1:5 says, “The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.” You will never be overcome by darkness. When Christ’s light shines inside of you, then you will always have what you need to overcome this world. There is an illusion in the minds of many Christians that they are still bound to this world. It isn’t true. You may feel like you are bound, but truthfully in Christ, you are free.

Who the Son Sets Free is Free Indeed

Recently, I prayed for a woman to be freed from a demon of fear. It was dealt with, but the woman wrote me a couple of days later and asked me to pray for her, because the demon was back. I said, “Why did you let it come back?” She didn’t understand what I meant. In her mind, she was bound to this demon, and she could see no way out. Her expectation was that she would be bound to it for a much longer time. Because this was her expectation, she gave license to her own torment. The only thing a person can do in such a situation is to pray that the Holy Spirit arrests this person, and helps them to come to freedom.

Your feelings should not be trusted. To trust your feelings in the face of God’s truth, is to believe lies. He came to set you free – there is nothing that can bind you any longer. He who the Son has set free, he is free indeed (see John 8:36). Your daily prayer should not be, “Set me free” because you are free! Your daily prayer should be: “Thank You for Your freedom, and show me why I have overcome this world.”

Knowing Your Authority in Christ

I will have demons come at me from time to time. By the authority of Jesus, I just tell them to get lost. I have no time for that nonsense anymore. I am not just saying this either. The enemy is not Jesus’ equal, and His Spirit lives inside of me. Jesus died and rose again to set us free from the reign of the enemy, so we should not choose to remain in fear. The only place for him is underneath our feet and God will put him there (Romans 16:20).

When you came to Christ, you went on a “cosmic carpet ride” into the glory realm. He lifted you immediately into the same place that He sits with His Father. By His grace you were saved. You don’t have to earn steps to greater glory, you just have to receive the revelation that you are already there.

Our life in Christ is all about learning this truth, but there are distractions: all the difficult thoughts that we have about our lives and all the concerns about the sin that reigns in our members. This is just the enemy trying to side-track you. If he can keep you down he feels he “has” you. The truth is, he doesn’t have you. God has you, and you are daily being enfolded into His arms. You are being molded into the image of Christ. He is changing you from glory to glory.

You Are a City on a Hill – You Shine!

This isn’t about climbing a ladder, it is more about receiving the revelation of who you already are. You don’t need to earn the way deeper into the heart of God – you just receive it.

Isaiah 60:1-3 says, “Arise, shine, For your light has come! And the glory of the Lord is risen upon you. For behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, And deep darkness the people; But the Lord will arise over you, And His glory will be seen upon you. The Gentiles shall come to your light, And Kingdoms to the brightness of your dawning.”

Just begin to accept the idea that you shine. You received Christ, so your spirit is shining. You may not feel like it, or you may not realize it, but Christ is living inside of you. He is glowing for everyone to see. You may have good days and you may have bad days, but Jesus loves you and He is transforming you into His glorious light. Your mind is being healed and you shall overcome – simply because you confessed His name and asked Him to become real in your life.

Matthew 4:16 says, “The people who sat in darkness have seen a great light, And upon those who sat in the region and shadow of death light has dawned.” That is you and that is me. You may feel dead in every area of your life, but the light of Jesus is dawning. You may not feel that anything good can come out of your life, but the light of Jesus is dawning. The power of death is destroyed, and you will overcome. Jesus’ light is life and brings peace to everyone who enters into it.

I declare over you today that you are entering into the fires of God. You are entering into the baptism of fire by the Holy Spirit, and your righteousness is about to shine in ways you never imagined. Jesus is going to be zealous in your heart and you are going to be bold like a lion. The next season is going to be a great season for you. Your little light is going to shine!

Proceed with Caution… It’s a Godly Strength!

caution please

Words like guarded, wary, and watchful are used to describe the characteristic of cautiousness. Being cautious can bring many images to your mind. ‘Proceed with caution’ is a sign we may see that sparks a feeling of hesitation or even fear. So how does cautiousness work in a Believer’s life? What does God say about this fruitful gift?

What does God say about cautiousness?…

Using biblical caution in situations means that you are enacting Godly wisdom, discernment, and self-control without rushing God’s perfect timing.

  • “Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, in everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you. Do not quench the Spirit. Do not despise prophecies. Test all things; hold fast what is good. Abstain from every form of evil.”1 Thessalonians 5:16-22

Here God tells us to pray and give thanks, allowing our thoughts to go to Him before we act.

  • “…casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ…”2 Corinthians 10:5

God wants us to slow down, to be on guard when we are driven by excitement or passion. When we start to think in the ways of the flesh—pride, ambition, or success for example—we must stop and give those thoughts to Christ, asking Him for the wisdom to proceed with caution.

What cautiousness is not…

Just as with any spiritual gift, the enemy will look for ways to combat it. Satan could tempt you with fear or even haste. Sometimes the enemy will tell you the lie that you must hurry or you will miss out. God promises that you miss out on nothing in Him. In fact, we are lavishly blessed in Him. The enemy could try to lull you to sleep so that you can be caught off guard. God wants us to seek His wisdom through His Word, prayer and other Believers, before we make decisions. To test all things. This takes precious time.

Be encouraged…

The Lord will use this gift as a blessing and protection. He promises that His timing is perfect, and with this Godly Strength of cautiousness, He walks before you to accomplish His will. May the Lord bless your heart to walk in His ways and use your cautiousness for the good of the Kingdom!

Pray now, asking God to strengthen this character in you. Seek Him first, asking Him to reveal His will… and wait for His response. We want to pray with you, too. Call us at 888-932-7850. We will pray that this strength will continue to build your faith and further His Kingdom!
